Avenue of Stars

I remembered my cousin who first went to Hongkong a few years back and I recalled the Symphony of Lights.

At around 6 in the evening, we decided to dress up and look for the Avenue of Stars. Our reliable caretaker told us that the place is just a few steps away from the hostel.

True enough, we headed to the East Tsim Sha Tsui station and followed the signs.

We passed by the Museum of Art, the Space Museum and the Hongkong Cultural Center.

The Avenue of Stars reminded me of Manila Bay, although it's better. From there, you will have a view of the Victoria Bay.

I immediately noticed the side walk that was modeled after Hollywood Walk of Fame.

It was freezing cold, good thing, this time I wore the proper attire!

We walked along the shoreline and took several pictures of the hand prints of several Hongkong actors and actresses.

I realized how vast Marjorie's knowledge of the Chinese film industry because she was telling about so many Chinese stars when I only know Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan.

As we continued to walk, we saw Starbucks and decided to grab for ourselves cold coffee.

One cold coffee was 32 HKD that left us icy cold. Ang mahal! Okay lang, it's time to experience Starbucks coffee, HK style!

At exactly 8 pm, the Symphony of Lights, a parade of lights started. All the buildings on the other side of the harbor participated with their own lights, lasers and fireworks display. A narration and some music played that lasted for more than 15 minutes. Ang galing! Masyadong hi-tech!

Full of bright lights and misty air, we decided to finally call it a day and rest. How many hours were we awake?

Day 2 just got even better when we visited Mickey Mouse in Disneyland!
