MAY 4, 2011: KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA
We arrived in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia past the hour of 12 in the morning. Our flight was via Cebu Pacific. Touchdown was in Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCCT).
After passing the immigration and the luggage areas, we bought the Star Shuttle Bus tickets and we immediately preceded to the shuttle bus parking area outside the LCCT. Our scheduled time was 2 am- the bus company's last trip for the day. The bus ride costed us 18 MYR each and it dropped us in Bukit Bintang area where we intended to stay.
After an hour and a half, we were in Bukit Bintang and if I remembered it correctly, the bus dropped us in front of a KFC food chain. We crossed the street and after a few meters walk with our trolleys, on the street of Jalan Alor, we found the Apple Hotel.
Apple Hotel:
We chose a double room with one bed and a private bathroom. I found the hotel's theme cute- the walls are painted white and yellow green and inside are apple shaped sinks, lights and couches. The room is cozy and very clean. It has hot and cold shower, free wifi service and a cable TV. They provided hot water boiler and plug extensions as requested. They do not have drawers or cabinets but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our 3 nights stay costed us 274 MYR. Sulit!

Since it has been a long and tiring day and it was 4 in the morning, we immediately dozed off to dreamland.
We woke up at 10 in the morning of the same day, dressed up for our next destinations. Our planned itinerary for the day: Batu Caves and Putrajaya/Cyberjaya.
We made sure to start the day right by taking our breakfast. Just across the street of our hotel are hawker food stalls. We chose to eat in Restoran Dragon View. Marjorie ordered roasted duck with rice and I simply ordered porridge with chicken (lugaw!). Our breakfast was worth 30 MYR.

Before moving forward, we had our money changed to Malaysia's currency-- Malaysian Ringgit. (0.33 USD= 1 MYR). Then off we went to Batu Caves.

BATU CAVES:
To get there:
To go to Batu Caves and other KL destinations, it is vital to study their complex train system. From our hotel, we took the monorail in Bukit Bintang station to Bukit Nanas Station (1.20 MYR).
We had a rail interchange to Dang Wangi Station and from there, we reached the last stop of the line- Gombak Station (2.30 MYR).
